It Is Our Mission To Have One of Middle Tennessee’s Finest Bands
It is the mission of the Wilson Central High School Band to build positive relationships that will foster productive musical growth. Wilson Central High School opened its doors in 2001. Since the beginning, the band program has continuously strived for excellence. In eleven short years, the band has grown from 31 members to over 110 members strong. The program consists of two concert bands, jazz band, percussion ensembles, chamber ensembles, and marching band. The band consistently earns superior and excellent ratings in both marching and concert performance and has qualified five straight years to perform at the TMEA State Concert Festival. The Wilson Central Band regularly has members qualify for Mid-State and All-State Band and Orchestra as well as area college honor bands and has graduates in college and university ensembles throughout Tennessee. We will always continue to strive every day to be “Better Today Than Yesterday, Better Tomorrow Than Today.”
